SCHU SCHU BABY!!!
Good to see that Massa still seems to have the speed.

And although it's just testing and times can be irrelevant, it's still good to see Wink

I don't understand why F1 drivers can't go out at the same time like Lewis and Jenson out on the track on the same day? I find that really weird and I always have.

They are testing their brand new car, and they may only have one available. Testing costs considerable amounts of money, and so that is why they mostly only run 1 car per day.

Doesn't look too promising right now. 1:12.951 for Jenson and 1:11.470 for Alonso, well that's one and a half second. I hope Jenson will find more speed in the MP4-25 in Jerez. I don't know why, but I'm not very confident for this season.

don't forget we don't know what fuel loads they are running and obviously drivers getting grips to new cars, testing new bits..

edit:
just been reading about JB's first day with an interview of autosport.. they spent till 1am this morning trying to get his seat right, so he now sits lower down in the car...
he also says about fuel loads regarding the true pace of people and today was getting to the team, the feel of the car etc:

I say bring on bahrain!

I thought it was a rule that teams are allowed only to test with one car...
And it is possible to run with 2 drivers, but they have to share the car, like Nico and Schumi did on Monday...

Ferrari LOOKS fast, but you really can't say much about it...

yeah its a rule that started up a few years ago.. that teams can only test with one car at a track but can share the driving on any test day.
I guess it was cost cutting..

They almost took one hour to adjust Jenson's seat, so that he could sit more deep. Although this was very important regarding the whole season. Better now than during the weekend of Bahrain Smile . I'm really thrilled to see what the car will be like at Jerez. Let's hope for the best Smile .

What are your thoughts about the measure instruments attached to the car? Prove of a problem or rather intended for improving the car in Aeordynamics? I really hope the car will be strong. I'm looking forward to Test-Day 2 in Jerez tomorrow. Go Jens.

The aero appendages attached to the car are to ensure that the data taken from actual running matches that of the wind tunnel etc. It allows the engineers flexibility knowing that the information fed into the computers is accurate as possible.

On a brighter note it was good to see the McLaren post the quickets lap of the test, but not in Jensons hands. I can only guess that all the work put in by Jenson and Lewis over the last two test culminated in the team unleashng the car to see if it had improved with testing, I think it has. Perhaps Jenson will get his chance to do a fume filled glory run next test Smile

This week the teams will test in Jerez again. Lotus will most likely join to cover their first test miles. Virgin is hoping to get more mileage.

Jens is scheduled to test on Friday and Saturday
